Window for Christ · Reaching Lives
Window for Christ
Window for Christ is a ministry dedicated to reaching the people of the 10/40 Window, a region that stretches roughly between 10 and 40 degrees north latitude and covers North Africa, the Middle East and much of Asia. About 65% of the world’s population lives here, and most of the world’s Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists are concentrated here, along with many peoples who have not yet had the opportunity to know the gospel.
We also seek to reach the communities of these peoples in the diaspora, carrying the message of salvation wherever they are.
In this way we seek to contribute to the fulfillment of the prophecy of Matthew 24:14:

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:14
We believe the book is a silent preacher that can reach people, enter their homes and stay there, presenting Christ and the message of salvation while the Holy Spirit works on the mind and heart. That is why we provide these books free of charge, especially in places where access to the gospel is limited.
A book can cross borders and carry the truth to places the living preacher cannot reach, complementing that work. In some places, printed material may be the first or only contact with the message, which can then be shared with others.
“The living preacher and the silent messenger are both required for the accomplishment of the great work before us.”
Ellen G. White, Review and Herald, April 1, 1880
“The press is a powerful instrumentality, which God has ordained to be combined with the energies of the living preacher to bring the truth before all nations, kindreds, tongues, and peoples.”
Ellen G. White, Manuscript Collection, 76.4
“In some places all the light they had received came from the paper; and souls had received the truth in this way, and then talked it to others...”
Ellen G. White, Experience and Views, p. 54.3

What drives us
To reach the people of the 10/40 Window and their communities in the diaspora, so that they have the opportunity to know Christ and the message of salvation in their own language.
“The people will hear the truth spoken to them, every man in his own tongue.”
Ellen G. White, The S.D.A. Bible Commentary, 6:1055 (1886), LDE 202.3
To carry the message of salvation to the people of the 10/40 Window and their communities in the diaspora, through the free distribution of books that present Christ and the truth for this time.
“We are fast approaching the end. The printing and circulation of the books and papers that contain the truth for this time are to be our work.”
Ellen G. White, Testimonies for the Church, 8:89, CEv 97.2
To see the earth lightened with the glory of God, carrying the message of salvation to every tribe, tongue, people and nation, so that every person has the opportunity to know Christ and respond to His love.
“And the earth was lightened with his glory.”
Revelation 18:1
Our foundation
We believe the work is God’s. He directs the mission, and we have the privilege of working with Him, placing at His disposal what He Himself has given us. We trust in the power of God, which is sufficient to fulfill each of His promises.
“All who will go to work, trusting not in what they themselves can do, but in what God can do for and through them, will certainly realize the fulfillment of His promise.”
Ellen G. White, The Desire of Ages, p. 667.2
“The means in our possession may not seem to be sufficient for the work; but if we will move forward in faith, believing in the all-sufficient power of God, abundant resources will open before us.”
Ellen G. White, The Desire of Ages, p. 371.1
Fundamental principles
God’s love is the foundation of our mission. Because He loved us first, we seek to reflect His love in the way we relate to others, serve and carry the message.
“We love Him because He first loved us.”
1 John 4:19, NKJV
Following the example of Jesus, we give ourselves willingly to the mission and put who we are and what we have at the service of God and others.
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant.”
Philippians 2:5–7, NKJV
We believe the mission is strengthened when people, churches and ministries join their gifts and resources for a common purpose.
“That they all may be one... that the world may believe.”
John 17:21, NKJV
